Meet Dr. Joshua Wallert
I streamline clinical operations and build the tooling and AI workflows behind them—grounded in a decade of building a full-scope functional medicine clinic from the inside.
Clinical Operations, Built From the Inside
I'm Dr. Joshua Wallert. I help functional medicine practices streamline their clinical operations—and I build the tooling and AI workflows that make those operations run.
That focus comes from more than a decade inside a single full-scope functional medicine clinic—nutrition, lab testing, chiropractic, nursing and PA teams, IV therapy, stem cell therapy, bioidentical hormone replacement, and more. I didn't just practice there; I helped build and coordinate every one of those service lines while managing complex neurological, autoimmune, and chronic-illness caseloads. Ten years of that teaches you one lesson on repeat: clinical excellence doesn't survive operational chaos. The practices that thrive are the ones with systems.
Today I'm that clinic's Chief Information Officer and lead provider. I'm a self-taught engineer—Python, SQL, and the web—and I've shipped the systems the practice runs on: its medical record system, custom auditing tools, and the software its providers use to collaborate on patient care. I've built both halves of a working clinic: the medicine and the machinery behind it.
These days, most of my working hours go into building bespoke software for healthcare settings, and for the past year and a half I've invested heavily in AI-assisted development—working daily with tools like Claude Code to build faster and further than a solo developer used to be able to. That changes the economics of custom tooling: systems that once required a development team and a six-figure budget are now within reach of an independent practice.
My clinical training—Doctor of Chiropractic and board-certified functional neurology diplomate (DACNB)—means I understand the patient journeys, protocols, and constraints behind the workflows. I don't recommend systems from the outside; I build them from the inside.
What I Bring
Systems & AI Tooling
I build the tooling practices actually use—medical record systems, auditing tools, automation, data analytics, and AI-assisted workflows designed around how clinics really operate.
Operational Experience
A decade building and coordinating a full-scope functional medicine clinic—labs, IV therapy, stem cells, BHRT, and more. CIO and lead provider there today.
Clinical Background
Doctor of Chiropractic with a functional neurology diplomate (DACNB). I speak the clinical language—patient journeys, protocols, and the constraints behind them.
Mission & Values
My Mission
To help functional medicine practitioners build sustainable, profitable practices so they can focus on what they do best—transforming patient lives.
What I Believe
- Healthcare practitioners deserve business success, not just clinical excellence.
- Systems and SOPs free up time for patient care, not replace it.
- Results matter more than theory—I only recommend what works.
- The best clients are the ones willing to do the work—and I prioritize working with them.
What Makes Us Different
Real Clinical Experience
I've worked inside real practices—patient care, staff, and operations. I understand the pressure of balancing clinical work with running a business.
Proven Frameworks
These aren't theories from a business textbook. They're systems built, tested, and refined inside working clinics.
Clear Deliverables
You get working SOPs, workflows, and documentation—not vague recommendations. Training materials are included for your team to execute.
Selective Partnership
I work with a small number of practices at a time. This means focused attention and better results for everyone.
Ready to Work Together?
Let's see if we're a good fit. I only work with practices ready to do the work—because that's how results happen.
